York Student Market accepts responsibility for all advertising in conjunction with the market.

York Student Market accepts responsibility for the organisation of the venue and related preparations.

York Student Market agrees not to share or divulge any of the personal information of stallholders and will hold details securely for a period of eighteen months.

To respect the needs and wishes of its traders and customers irrespective of colour, race, gender, sex, nationality or creed.

That it’s representatives will be present throughout the day if you have any queries problems or suggestions.

York Student Market reserves the right to close the market at any time.

In the event of the market closing early due to fire, flood, power failure, serious injury or other extreme circumstances refunds of stall fees will be at the discretion of YSM.

York Student Market does not accept:

York Student Market will not be held liable for any item or product sold that is not fit for purpose, breaks, causes harm or injury to any person who has bought or used the item through improper or proper use.

York Student Market will not be held liable if there is a theft from your stall.

York Student Market will not be held responsible if a stall does not sell any items and will not refund the stall fee.

York Student Market will not be held liable if a stall holder sells materials of an illegal or illicit nature (see below)

York Student Market will not return any payments made to it after the confirmation e-mail has been sent confirming the received payment.

As a trader I agree to:

Provide my own float (if required.)

Wear my identifying badge at all times.

Provide any necessary decoration for my stall.

Not to endanger YSM staff, customers and other stallholders by negligence.

Leave the stall I was provided with in the condition that I had received it.

Look after my stall and ensure it poses no threat of harm or injury to the general public.

Not to play loud music on my stall. (Determining whether music is loud or not will be at the discretion of the York Student Market Team).

Maintain responsibility for ensuring that all my items I will sell are of the highest standard and do not infringe or break any UK, EU or UN legislation.

Not sell or distribute free of charge any items that cannot be legally sold in the UK or EU. This includes but is not limited to; firearms and ammunition, imitation firearms, drugs and hallucinogens, fireworks or any products including explosives (excepting crackers), flick knives machetes or daggers.

Not to sell or distribute free of charge any of the following items: live animals, alcohol (opened or unopened), sharp kitchen knives (table knives are allowed), cars and motorbikes, pornography, politically or religiously sensitive material and symbology unless of a historical nature as deemed so at the discretion of YSM and its representatives.

Accept full responsibility if caught selling or freely distributing any of the items listed above.

Not provide any of the following services: body piercings, tattoos.

Vacate the premises immediately if instructed by a member of the York Student Market Team.

Alert the YSM team immediately in the event of fire, flood, power failure, injury or theft.

If any hot or cold food is to be sold it must be kept in conditions that will ensure it does not spoil.

The serving of hot or cold food is at the discretion of the York Student Market Team.

As a trader if you infringe on any of Terms and Conditions listed YSM reserve the right to close your stall down.
